You just never know what you're in for with Indiana weather sometimes!...it could call for rain one minute and be perfectly clear and beautiful the next!
While it may have been pretty humid, it WASN'T raining (and Heather and I had stalked the weather the week leading up for sure!!) I was happy we were able to move forward with their session without having to reschedule (as they had quite a few of the family members in town from various locations!). Heather was all for outdoor family portraits, and was willing to call it late and take a risk! Boy, did it pay off!!!
And while we had a beautiful night to document this season of life for an extended family session, it was really special because of my family's connection with the two special people they were honoring with these photos!
Karen and Dave Dubbeld are friends from my family's time up in northern Indiana (where my husband and I went to college, met, and settled with our young family for a few years!). We attended church together and I know I can speak for so many when I say what a wonderful, godly, couple they are! You can tell they love their grandchildren so much and it was very sweet of their family members to coordinate this session for them!
This was my last session before going on maternity leave (our newest little guy is due in at the beginning of July!) and so it was sweet to be able to catch up with Dave and Karen and see them love on their grandkids!
Enjoy a peek into their session!
